Removal

  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Notice:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  1. Remove no. 2 Instrument cluster finish panel center (see page ip-5)

  2. Remove no. 1 Instrument cluster finish panel center (see page ip-5)

  3. Remove radio receiver assembly (see page ip-5)

  4. Remove air conditioning control assembly

  1. Remove the 2 screws.
  2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 clips.

Hint:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the air conditioning control.
  1. Remove air mix control switch

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the air mix control switch.
  1. Remove blower control switch

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the blower control switch.
  1. Remove air vent mode control switch

Toyota RAV4. Remove air vent mode control switch


  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the mode control switch.

Installation

  1. Install air vent mode control switch

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the mode control switch.
  1. Install blower control switch

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the blower control switch.
  1. Install air mix control switch

  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the air mix control switch.
  1. Install air conditioning control assembly

  1. Connect the connectors.
  2. Attach the 3 clips to install the air conditioning control.
  3. Install the 2 screws.
  1. Install radio receiver assembly (w/ radio receiver) (see page ip-10)

  2. Install no. 1 Instrument cluster finish panel center (see page ip-10)

  3. Install no. 2 Instrument cluster finish panel center (see page ip-10)

  4. Connect cable to negative battery terminal

  5. Check srs warning light

  1. Check the srs warning light (see page rs-37).
