Description
Refer to the description of "downhill assist control indicator light remains on" (see page bc-156).
Wiring diagram
Refer to the downhill assist control indicator light circuit (see page bc-157).
Inspection procedure
- Check can communication system
- Check if the can communication system dtc is output (see page ca-34)
Result 
- Read value of intelligent tester (downhill assist control switch)
- Check the data list for proper functioning of the downhill assist control switch.
Ok: on (downhill assist control switch is on) appears on the screen.
- Perform active test by intelligent tester (dac indicator light)
- Select the active test, generate a control command, and then check that the downhill assist control indicator light operates.
Ok: the downhill assist control indicator light turns on and off.
- Inspect combination meter
- Inspect the combination meter (see page me-15).
Replace abs and traction actuator assembly
- Inspect downhill assist control switch
- Remove the downhill assist control switch.
- Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance 
- Check wire harness (control switch - skid control ecu and body ground)
- Disconnect the a19 ecu connector.
- Disconnect the e31 switch connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance
