Toyota RAV4. Exhaust pipe


Removal

  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Caution:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  1. Remove heated oxygen sensor (for bank 1 sensor 2) (see page ec-24)
  2. Remove tailpipe assembly

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.
  2. Disconnect the 2 exhaust pipe supports, and remove the tailpipe.
  3. Remove the gasket from the center exhaust pipe.
  1. Remove center exhaust pipe assembly

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.
  2. Disconnect the 3 exhaust pipe supports, and remove the center exhaust pipe.
  3. Remove the gasket from the front exhaust pipe.

  1. Remove front exhaust pipe assembly

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe.
