- Inspect water pump assembly
- Visually check the drain hole for coolant leakage.
If leakage is found, replace the water pump assembly.
- Turn the pulley, and then check that the water pump
bearing moves smoothly without making a "click"
noise.
If it does not move smoothly, replace the water pump assembly.

Install generator assembly
Confirm that the wire harness of the crankshaft
position sensor is secured to the wire harness
clamp bracket through the back of the rib of the
timing chain cover.

Dtc check / clear
Check dtc
Connect the intelligent tester (with can vim) to the
dlc3.
Turn the ignition switch on and turn the intelligent
tester on.
Read the dtc by following the prompts on the
tester screen.
