Removal

  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Caution:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  1. Remove glove compartment door assembly (see page ip-20)

  2. Remove tire pressure warning ecu

  1. Disconnect the connector.
  2. Remove the bolt and ecu.

Installation

  1. Install tire pressure warning ecu

  1. Install the ecu with the bolt.

    Torque: 4.5 N*m (46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*Lbf)

  2. Connect the connector.
  1. Install glove compartment door assembly (see page ip-25)

  2. Connect cable to negative battery terminal

  3. Register transmitter id (see page tw-10)

  4. Inspect tire pressure warning system
