Inspect pack clearance of underdrive
clutch (see page ax-247)
Remove no. 1 Underdrive clutch disc
Using a screwdriver, pry out the underdrive clutch
flange snap ring.
Remove the flange, 3 discs and 3 plates from the
underdrive clutch drum.

Install front drive shaft assembly lh
Coat the spline of the inboard joint shaft with gear
oil.
Using a brass bar and hammer, align the shaft
splines in the drive shaft.

Set the snap ring with the opening side facing
downwards.

Reassembly
Caution:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame
(with adjuster) may injure your hands.
Install front seat wire
Install seat position airbag sensor (see
page rs-390)
Install lumbar support adjuster assembly
Install the lumbar support adjuster with the 2
screws.
