- Install camshaft position sensor
Notice:
Make sure that the o-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing it.
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the o-ring of the sensor.
- Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 9.0 N*m (90 kgf*cm, 80 in.*Lbf)
- Connect the sensor connector.
- Install air cleaner cap (see page es-413)
- Connect cable to negative battery terminal
- Check for engine oil leakage
- Install no. 1 Engine cover (see page es-414)
Inspection
Inspect camshaft position sensor
Measure the resistance of the sensor.

Cold and hot mean the temperature of the coils
themselves. Cold is from -10 to 50 ...

Inspect no. 1 Cooling fan motor
Disconnect the no. 1 Fan connector.
Connect the battery and ammeter to the no. 1 Fan
motor connector.
Check that the no. 1 Fan rotates smoothly, and then
check the reading on the ammeter.

Reassembly
Install piston
Using a small screwdriver, install a new snap ring
onto one end of the piston pin hole.
Hint:
Make sure that the end gap of the snap ring is not
aligned with the pin hole cutout portion of the piston.
Gradually heat the piston up to 80 to 90°c (176 to
