- Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal
Caution:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- Remove steering column cover lower
- Detach the 4 claws, release the tilt lever and remove the steering column cover lower.
- Remove ignition switch assembly
- Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
- Disconnect the ignition key cylinder light connector.
- Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.

Measure the resistance of the switch.

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch
