Inspection

  1. Inspect unlock warning switch assembly

  1. Measure the resistance of the switch.

Standard resistance


If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.

Ecu power source circuit

Description

This circuit provides power to operate the transponder key ecu.

Inspection procedure

  1. Inspect fuse (ecu-b2)

  1. Remove the ecu-b2 fuse from the engine room no. 2 Relay block.
  2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

Standard resistance: below 1




  1. Check wire harness (transponder key ecu - battery and body ground)

  1. Disconnect the e46 ecu connector.
  2. Measure the resistance and voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance
