- Install camshaft position sensor
Notice:
Make sure that the o-ring is not cracked or jammed when installing it.
- Apply a light coat of engine oil to the o-ring of the sensor.
- Install the sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 9.0 N*m (90 kgf*cm, 80 in.*Lbf)
- Connect the sensor connector.
- Install air cleaner cap (see page es-413)
- Connect cable to negative battery terminal
- Check for engine oil leakage
- Install no. 1 Engine cover (see page es-414)
Inspection
Inspect camshaft position sensor
Measure the resistance of the sensor.

Inspect no. 1 Cooling fan motor
Disconnect the no. 1 Fan connector.
Connect the battery and ammeter to the no. 1 Fan
motor connector.
Check that the no. 1 Fan rotates smoothly, and then
check the reading on the ammeter.
