Removal
Caution:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
- Remove shoulder belt anchor cover rh
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 claws and cover.
Hint:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove roof headlining assembly
Hint:
It is not necessary to completely remove the roof headlining. Slightly lower the rear section of the roof headlining.
- Partially remove the roof headlining (see page ir- 26).
- Remove rear center seat outer belt assembly
- Remove the 2 bolts and seat belt.
Inspection
- Inspect rear center seat outer belt assembly
Notice:
Do not disassemble the retractor.
- When the inclination of the retractor is 15Ð or less,
check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor.
When the inclination of the retractor is over 45Ь check that the belt locks.
If the operation is not as specified, replace the belt.
Installation
- Install rear center seat outer belt assembly
- Install the seat belt with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 42 n*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*Lbf)
- Install roof headlining assembly
- Install the roof headlining (see page ir-49).
- Install shoulder belt anchor cover rh
- Install the cover with the 4 claws.
Installation
Hint:
Use the same procedures for the lh side and rh side.
