  1. Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal

Caution:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  1. Remove generator assembly

  1. Remove the generator assembly from the vehicle (see page ch-9).
  1. Remove crankshaft position sensor

  1. Disconnect the sensor connector.
  2. Remove the connector clamp.
  3. Remove the wire harness from the wire harness clamp bracket.
  4. Remove the wire harness clamp.
  5. Remove the bolt and sensor.
