Components
Removal
- Disconnect cable from negative battery terminal
- Remove instrument panel sub-assembly upper
- Remove the instrument panel (see page ip-4).
- Remove power steering ecu
- Disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Remove the 3 nuts and remove the power steering ecu.
Installation
- Install power steering ecu
- Install the power steering ecu with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*Lbf)
- Connect the 4 connectors.
- Install instrument panel sub-assembly upper
- Install the instrument panel (see page ip-9).
- Connect cable to negative battery terminal

The skid control ecu learns the steering sensor zero point every time the
ignition switch is turned on and
the vehicle is driven at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more for approximately 5 seconds.
